Catchy Domain Name Helps "Net" Success
The name you give your web site can make or break its success. Most Realtors just use their business name, which is dull and likely to generate little response. A better approach is to come up with a name that is:
- Descriptive
- Unique
- Short
- Memorable
You may remember the Canadian couple who use "Dynamic Duo". This is an excellent example of a domain name that fits all four of the above criteria.
Once you've decided your domain name, you can find out if it's available by trying your proposed name at the InterNIC "who is" interface. If it hasn't been taken, you can register it with your Internet service provider. Ask your provider about the exact fee for this service. Extra effort to develop and protect a domain name can reward you greatly.
